Kris Baker
Civil Engineer
Kris is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts with over 16 years of civil engineering experience across both the public and private sectors. He has served as the City Engineer for Holyoke and Northampton, Massachusetts, where he managed the fiscal planning and budgeting, environmental permitting, engineering design and review, bidding, and construction oversight across a range of sectors. His municipal project experience is focused on roadways, sidewalks, water distribution systems, sewer systems, stormwater management, and flood control. In addition to municipal work, Kris has a consulting background in hydrology and hydraulics modeling, stormwater design, dam engineering, utility upgrades and replacements, environmental permitting, and watershed planning. His comprehensive skill set has been shaped by his roles as both a consultant and a municipal engineer, providing him with a deep understanding of environmental, stormwater, and site plan reviews for development projects. Outside the office, Kris enjoys hiking and backpacking and recently bagged the 48th White Mountain peak in New Hampshire to become a member of the Four Thousand Footer Club.
