Gwen Fern
Landscape Designer
Gwendolyn Fern delights in bringing her clients unique visions to life with enthusiasm and curiosity. She has many years of experience working in residential gardens, which have informed her practical approach to design. Her style celebrates simple planting palettes which change dramatically throughout the seasons. Gwen pulls from a background in art and floral design applying a strong sense of composition, color and texture to her designs. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in environmental design and a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Gwen holds a Certificate in Sustainable Design/Build from the Yestermorrow School. Gwen relishes every part of the design process, especially the initial sketches and final renderings that help her clients understand the emotional and sensational experience of being in a new space. When Gwen is not at her desk, she spends her time roller skating, knitting, explaining the latest astrological transits to her friends, and trying to teach her daughter how to identify weeds in the garden.
