Berkshire Design partnered with the City of Northampton to expand portions of the City’s multi-use bike path network, strengthening connections to key residential neighborhoods. The project added 3,800 linear feet of new shared-use path, linking Burt’s Pit Road, Overlook Drive, and Sandy Hill Road.

Northampton has a long-standing commitment to supporting alternative modes of transportation throughout the City. Its expanding network of shared-use paths is woven into surrounding neighborhoods, providing safe and efficient connections between denser residential areas and local destinations. Major regional trails, including the Norwottuck Rail Trail and the neighboring Manhan Rail Trail in Easthampton, further enhance connectivity to adjacent communities.
